The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is a highly competitive and prestigious award for incoming transfer students attending Illinois State University who are members of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. The awards are valued at a minimum of $1,000; some are renewable for multiple years. The awards are based on academic merit and the competitiveness of the applicant pool, rather than on financial need.
Students must meet the minimum requirements below and complete a separate online scholarship application. Since these scholarships are highly competitive, award winners are only able to receive either the Transfer Student Scholarship or the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship. Eligible, admitted students will be emailed an invitation to apply in mid-March. Based on the submissions, scholarship decisions are made by mid-May.
